HC Deb 07 November 1978 vol 957 c118W
82. Mr. Moonman

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will now make a statement on the case of Diana Irons, a patient in Broadmoor special hospital, details of which have been sent to him.

Mr. Merlyn Rees

It would be premature to make a statement about this case. The proposal which my hon. Friend and others have very recently put to me requires careful investigation, and before taking a decision I shall in any event wish to have the advice of the Mental Health Review Tribunal to which the case has been referred at Miss Iron's request.

I have written to my hon. Friend.
