§ Mr. Farrasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what information is available to him of the total cost of the crime prevention service given by the police, of the charges that are made for advice given to persons making use of the service and of the total cost that is recovered by means of these charges.
§ Mr. Merlyn ReesI regret that information about costs is not available. No charge is made for advice given by the police on crime prevention since the prevention of crime is a central part of the duties of the police.
