§ Mr. Merlyn ReesIn accordance with the Government's policy, the fees to be charged to people required under the Immigration Act 1971 to register with the police are reviewed annually, so that an appropriate part can be recovered of the costs incurred by police forces in meeting the requirements laid upon them by the Immigration (Registration with Police) Regulations 1972—as amended. Due40W regard is paid to the effect that increases in the fees may have on people required to pay them.
