§ Mr. HoramWe are following the recommendation of the Leitch Committee, that the project should be discussed with outside profesisonals and academic research workers. A conference is to be held on 21st and 22nd June to discuss initial findings. It will then refer their reactions to the Standing Advisory Committee on Thunk Road Assessment.

§ Mr. HoramConsultants have been appointed to develop suitable procedures. We expect to have their report later this year. We shall then consider drawing up a programme of studies in the light of any advice from the Standing Advisory Committee on Trunk Road Assessment which we are setting up.
