§ Mr. Giles Shawasked the Secretary of State for Energy if, in view of the difficulties recently demonstrated in dealing 795W with oil spills, and in view of the evidence that oil exploration causes major risks of spillage, he will undertake not to licence in the near future exploratory drilling in areas sensitive to Great Britain's internationally important seabird colonies; and if he will make a statement on this matter.
