§ Mr. EadieCoal demand in United Kingdom power stations in the 1980s is expected to increase on the assumptions in the Green Paper on energy policy (Cmnd. 7101), and in particular in Annex 1. One of the assumptions is that coal will remain competitive with fuel oil. The relative price of coal and other fuels is an important, but not the only, determinant of coal burn.
