HC Deb 25 May 1978 vol 950 c700W
Mr. Kilfedder

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will now review the criteria for the allocation of houses by the Housing Executive, in view of the fact that a house in Newry was let to a member of the Republic of Ireland Army.

Mr. Carter

No.

The Northern Ireland Housing Executive, which is responsible for operating the current housing selection scheme, informs me that, as far as it is aware, none of its houses in Newry is let to members of the Republic of Ireland Army. However, confusion may have arisen over the case of a tenant who has married a member of the Republic of Ireland Army.
