§ Mr. McCrindleasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the purpose of Boyles Court, Brentwood; 722W how many young people are there currently; and what proposals exist for its future use.
§ Mr. MoyleBoyles Court, Brentwood is an observation and assessment centre. These centres provide facilities for the observation of the physical and mental conditions of children in the care of local authorities and for the assessment of the most suitable accommodation and treatment for those children. I understand there are no proposals to change its status. Thirty-five young people were accommodated there on 23rd May 1978.
