§ Mr. Pavittasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what new steps he is taking to increase the provisions for non-smokers in public places.
§ Mr. MoyleThis is primarily a matter for the many organisations which control or can influence the means of providing for the rights of non-smokers. I have been much encouraged by the response I have already received from a large number of such organisations which I had asked to review their existing practices. I have it in mind to approach a number of other organisations, especially those responsible for offices to which the public has access. My object will be to encourage them to follow the lead, which owes much to the initiative and co-operation of the Civil Service trades unions, now given by the Civil Service in respect of Government offices.
