§ Mr. Beithasked the Secretary of State for Energy whether it is his policy to allow or require cheaper fuels to subsidise more expensive fuels through the pricing policies of the nationalised industries.
§ Mr. BennVarious approaches to energy pricing were considered at the second meeting of the Energy Commission on 13th February, and we agreed that our discussions would be resumed at a subsequent meeting. The Government's current view, however, is that energy prices should continue to reflect the differing circumstances and costs of each fuel.
