§ Mr. MaclennanLast year, the National Consumer Council raised this issue but my right hon. Friend has received no recent representations from the public regarding banking hours. However, discussions are in progress with the banks following the Price Commission's recent report on charges for money transmission services. These will cover all the Commission's recommendations, including the suggestion for more flexible working hours. I shall make a statement when the discussions are completed.
