§ Mr. Loveridgeasked the Secretary of State for Trade what action is being taken to publicise the advantages to industry and businesses large and small in the United Kingdom and in other countries of the EEC that the proposed European Trade Marks Registry should be located in London.
§ Mr. Matherasked the Secretary of State for Trade if he has come to a decision about the siting of the European Trade Mark Registration Office in London; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Clinton DavisThe Government have already made clear to their Community partners its wish that the trade mark office be located in London. I hope to make more specific proposals soon which will emphasise the advantages of a London site, and will inform the House of my action.
