§ Mrs. Wiseasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he has studied the proposals of the Lucas Aerospace workers in their corporate plan which deal with equipment for disabled people, including "sight for the blind" devices, control systems for prosthetic limbs, and the Hob-cart for spina bifida children; and if he has any plans regarding this equipment.
§ Mr. Alfred MorrisWhile I am very interested in all research and development of aids for the blind and of control systems for artificial limbs, I have no information about proposals by Lucas Aerospace in these fields. I know my hon. Friend will be glad to know however, that the Hobcart is already available through my Department's artificial limb and appliance centres.
