§ Mr. Merlyn ReesRecruitment to the Suffolk Constabulary is a matter for the Chief Constable. My Department supports the recruiting effort of all police forces in England and Wales by a programme of publicity, including advertising86W in the national Press. Budget provision for national recruitment publicity in 1978–79, subject to parliamentary approval, has been increased to £793,000, which is £200,000 more than for the last financial year.
