§ Mr. Leeasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will resist any proposals that may be made for the increased disbursement of the Common Market Social Fund in France or Italy until he 129W can be provided with evidence that the incidence of income tax evasion has been reduced to a level that compares favourably with that which is estimated to exist in the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. John GrantAll decisions concerning allocations from the European Social Fund are the responsibility of the Commission of the European Communities. The Commission may make allocations only to training and similar operations which conform to the requirements specified in the regulations governing the Fund. These requirements apply irrespective of the member States in which the operation is undertaken.
