§ Mr. Clemitsonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will list all aids and appliances which are obtainable for disabled persons from his Department free of charge, and those for which charges are made.
§ Mr. Alfred MorrisThrough its directly administered artificial limb and appliance centres, my Department provides artificial limbs and accessories, and also a range of invalid vehicles including wheelchairs. War pensioners may receive additional services, for example, the provision of commercial hearing aids in cases where this is medically recommended. In association with NHS authorities, the Department provides NHS hearing aids and environmental control equipment. No charges are made by my Department for supply of these items.
