§ Mr. RowlandsMy right hon. Friend has received no letter recently from the Premier of Belize regarding United Kingdom negotiations with Guatemala. A recent Press report to the contrary was incorrect. We continue to believe that the best way of obtaining secure independence for Belize is through a negotiated settlement with Guatemala which is acceptable to the Government and people of Belize.
