§ Mr. Gordon Wilsonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will report the outcome of his discussions with the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities in connection with the enforcement of Section 2 of the Control of Pollution Act 1974.
§ Mr. McElhoneAfter further consultation with the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities, and with its agreement, my right hon. Friend has decided to bring Section 2 into force in Scotland on 1st September of this year. The necessary commencement order will be made shortly.
