§ Mr. MoyleBetween 1st January and 31st December 1976, which is the latest period for which information is available, 46 private hospitals and nursing homes were registered by area health authorities under the Nursing Home Act 1975. This number does not include homes opened within Kent AHA, for which the information is not available. Area health authorities reported a similar number of nursing homes whose registration was withdrawn during that year.
