§ Mr. John Garrettasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether his Department has issued, or proposes to issue, regulations on the use of white asbestos rope in the construction of private dwellings.
§ Mr. ArmstrongThere are at present no proposals for such regulations. The need for control over the use of asbestos in rope or other forms in building construction will be examined in the light of the forthcoming recommendations of the Advisory Committee on Asbestos established by the Health and Safety Commission.
