§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Wales how much financial assistance has been given by his Department towards the printing and publishing of books in the Welsh language in each year since 1971–72.
§ Mr. John MorrisAssistance is given to publishing books in Welsh under the Welsh Books for Adults scheme which is administered for my Department by the University of Wales Press Board. The amounts involved are:
£ 1971–72 12,500 1972–73 12,500 1973–74 18,750 1974–75 14,965 1975–76 30,000 1976–77 41,145 1977–78 43,954 The grant for 1978–79 will be £60,000.
