HC Deb 08 May 1978 vol 949 cc399-400W
Mr. Bradford

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will instal an intercommunication system in the retirement pensioners' housing complex at Glenburn Road, Dunmurry; and, if so, whether he will give the completion date for this project.

Mr. Carter

, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 3rd May 1978; Vol. 949, c. 198], gave the following information:

Inquiries by the Eastern Health and Social Services Board have shown that there are differing opinions among residents in the Glenburn Road pensioners' dwellings as to the need for an intercommunication system. A survey to assess need has unfortunately been delayed by staff shortages and changes, but is now in hand and will be completed shortly.

If the survey confirms a need for an intercommunciation system, the Eastern Board will provide it as soon as possible.
