§ Mr. Patrick Jenkinasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what other cases of war pensions injustice have come to light since the Report of the Ombudsman on the case of Colonel Otway, DSO; what action he is proposing; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. EnnalsThe report stated that the Department had discovered 24 other cases where the rank element of the war pension had been improperly withheld. Since then a further six cases have been identified: payment of arrears and compensation is being made on the same basis as for the cases covered by the report.
