asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, further to the Written Answer to the hon. Member for Blaby, Official Report, 21st April, column 386, how many of the 24 firms mentioned there as being currently subjected to economic sanctions for having negotiated pay settlements above the volunatry 10 per cent. limit were included in the 23 firms mentioned as already being subjected to such sanctions in the Written Answer to the hon. Member for Blaby, Official Report, 8th February, column 590, and how many of the 24 have been added to the blacklist since 8th February.

Of the 24 firms subject to discretionary action on 21st April, 20 were included in the reply given to the hon. Member on 8th February [Official Report, Vol. 943, c. 590.] Since then four firms have become subject to discretionary action.
