What was the gross expenditure on the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew, in each of the three latest available years, and what was the yield of the 1p entrance charge in those years.

The identifiable expenditure on the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, over the past three financial years was:—

1975–76	1976–77	1977–78

£2,555,000	£2,880,000	£3,527,000

This expenditure was incurred in maintaining the Royal Botanic Gardens as an educational and research institution, as well as a public garden. The yield from the 1p entrance charge to the Gardens was £11,568, £11,785 and £12,074 in each of these years.
