§ Mr. CryerI am prepared to look at any suggestion those concerned may wish to put forward. If they are able to make viable proposals, we would consider the possibility of selective financial assistance under Section 7 of the Industry Act 1972, on the same terms as to any other business. Some of those affected by the closure have already had discussions with the South West Industrial Development Office about the availability of premises. Under the Industrial Common Ownership Act 1976, we are giving support to organisations whose purpose is to encourage the development of worker controlled enterprises. The Co-operative Development Agency Bill which is currently before Parliament aims to establish an agency to which persons proposing to establish co-operatives may turn for advice.
