§ Mr. Gordon Wilsonasked the Secretary of State for Energy what share of the North Sea oil exploration and development market is now estimated as having been won by the United Kingdom and Scotland, respectively.
§ Dr. MabonFinal figures for the United Kingdom share of orders placed by offshore operating companies in 1977 for equipment and services are not yet available. Indications are that overall the United Kingdom share went up from 57 per cent. in 1976 to around 60 per cent. Separate figures are not available for Scotland.
§ Mr. Gordon Wilsonasked the Secretary of State for Energy what is the current daily oil and gas production from the Scottish sector of the North Sea; what immediate impact in gas production is expected from Frigg in June; what is now the estimated production for the next 12 months; and what are the foreign exchange benefits, market values and revenue yields for both oil and gas.
§ Dr. MabonStatistics on aggregate current oil and gas production are available only for the United Kingdom continental shelf as a whole. Forecasts related to individual fields are not published, being based on commercially confidential information. However, the Department of Energy's 1978 Brown Book, recently submitted to the House, gives historic annual production from individual fields and a number of forecasts produced by my Department relating to the North Sea as a whole.
