§ Mr. JohnIn 1976, the number of persons aged 10 and under 17 years involved in care proceedings in England and Wales under Section 1(2)(f) of the Children and Young Persons Act 1969 was 25, or 0.7 per cent. of all persons aged 10 and under 17 years involved in care proceedings. In 1971 the corresponding number was 81; the percentage is not available. Figures for 1977 are not yet available.
