HC Deb 23 March 1978 vol 946 c658W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs in view of the statement made by Mr. Mainza Ghona, Prime Minister of Zambia that Great Britain was responsible for damage to life and property in Zambia caused by Rhodesian raids on Zambia whether he accepts the Zambian claim of £1,000 million of damages; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Rowlands

We have received no such claim. We have conveyed to the Zambian Government our deep shock and dismay at this further Rhodesian raid.
