HC Deb 23 March 1978 vol 946 c647W
Mr. Wigley

asked the Secretary of State for Wales whether the district or county authorities in Wales will be responsible for administering the referendum on the Government's proposals for a Welsh Assembly; and in what way their costs will be reimbursed.

Mr. John Morris

It is proposed that polling should be administered at district council level and counting on a county basis, and that the costs will be defrayed as administrative expenses of the Secretary of State.
