Health and Personal Social Services (Expenditure)

Mr. Ashley

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if, in the 1979 White Paper on public expenditure, he will arrange for the publication of exactly comparable statistics for expenditure on the health and personal social services for, respectively, the United Kingdom, England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Mr. Joel Barnett

The Government will consider the content of the next White Paper on public expenditure in due course.
