HC Deb 23 March 1978 vol 946 cc793-4W
Mr. Canavan

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will list the amount of capital housing allocations unspent by each of the following district councils for each financial year since local government reorganisation: (a) Stirling, (b) Falkirk, (c) Cumbernauld and Kilsyth and (d) Strhkelvin.

Mr. Hugh D. Brown

The only capital allocations in these years were for council house modernisation, environmental improvements and capitalised repairs and for local authority lending. The value of "start" approvals for modernisation, and so on, and the amounts underspent or overspent against the lending allocations were as in the following table.
