Mr. Robert Sheldon

Goods imported in contravention of the Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act 1976 have been seized by Her Majesty's Customs and Excise on 23 occasions up to 16th March 1978.

No prosecutions have been initiated by Government Departments under the Act, but one prosecution has been taken under Customs legislation for evasion of the restrictions imposed by the Act.
