§ Mr. GoldingI am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that schemes involving farming or horticulture, including those run on a co-operative basis, may be considered for funding under the special temporary employment programme. Approval will depend on local circumstances, and the extent to which the proposed scheme meets the aim of the programme, which is to provide temporary jobs for the long-term unemployed in areas hardest hit by unemployment.
