§ Mr. OakesCircular 2/70, a copy of which I am sending to the hon. Member, deals with the provision of facilities for the community in educational premises; "A Study of School Building" examines ways of making fuller use of the existing stock; and the Department's architects and building branch has given design 129W guidance in a number of publications. Many schools are already used for a variety of community activities and it is a long-standing policy to encourage local education authorities to extend this practice wherever possible.
