§ Mr. John SilkinIn the light of the Government's intention to produce on overall strategy and policy for water, I have invited my Advisory Council for Agriculture and Horticulture in England and Wales to consider and advise on the future needs of the agricultural and horticultural industries for water and the measures necessary to promote its efficient use. The National Water Council will be associated with the inquiry and the Advisory Council will be consulting other interested organisations.
