Mr. Arnold

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the maximum total amount which a self-employed man or woman, who is also an employee in another capacity, could have been called upon to pay in Classes I, II and IV national insurance contributions for the years 1975–76, 1976–77 and 1977–78.

The following are the maximum total amounts payable:

1975–76 £ 1976–77 £ 1977–78 £
Man 287.73 391.73 440.98
Woman 271.30 380.60 435.15

If payment has been made in excess of these amounts, a refund may be obtained if the excess is more than 50p.
