Mr. Eldon Griffiths

asked the Secretary of State for Employment following the report of the Health and Safety Executive that one in four of those killed in agriculture are children, if he will invite the National Farmers' Union, the Country Landowners' Association and the National Union of Agricultural Workers to discuss with him and the Executive ways and means of reducing the risks to life on farms.

The responsibility for health and safety in agriculture rests with the Health and Safety Commission and the Health and Safety Executive.
