§ 24. Mr. Hardyasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what is the number of persons in prisons in Northern Ireland at the latest date and three years earlier.
§ Mr. ConcannonOn 26th February 1978 the total number of prisoners, tried and untried and including those in borstal, was 2,940. On 23rd February 1975 there were 2,295; on that date there were also 479 persons detained under the Emergency Provisions Act.
