§ 17. Mr. Farrasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will delegate more responsibilities to district councils in Northern Ireland, such as those relating to street and minor repairs.
§ Mr. CarterMy right hon. Friend has no plans to give substantial new responsibilities to district councils by delegation or otherwise. It would not be an economical use of resources to delegate to district councils responsibilities for minor road works in their areas.
