§ Mr. Lawsonasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will publish a table showing the real value of the tax threshold as an index number, in each of the five years 1973–74 to 1977–78 inclusive, for (a) a single person, (b) a married couple without children, (c) a married couple with two children under 11, and (d) a married couple with two children under 11 and two between 11 and 16; taking 1973–74 as 100 in each case.
