Which international sanctions in their view are likely to be the most effective in preventing hijacking attempts.
Lord ORAMHer Majesty's Government believe that the only sanctions likely to be effective are collective sanctions agreed by the international community as a whole. But the primary method of preventing hijacking is by the universal application of adequate security measures, in accordance with International Civil Aviation Organisation Standards and Recommendations. We are taking action to concert this.
