§ Mr. Skeetasked the Secretary of State for Energy what percentage contribution to the capital costs of the gas gathering pipeline in the north North Sea is likely to be required of the British Gas Corporation; and what has been the full cost of gas conversion to the Corporation.
§ Dr. J. Dickson MabonGas Gathering Pipelines (North Sea) Ltd. is due to present its final report to me by the end of March. Until I have considered that report I cannot comment on the first part of the Question. The full cost of conversion has been £1,027 million including £450 million for the writing off of the unamortised balance of displaced plant.
