§ Mr. WellbelovedAs I explained to the hon. Member in my letter of 10th October 1977, the runway and taxiways at RAF Greenham Common are currently being resurfaced. The work is being carried out at a cost of about £700,000. The work is due for completion by the end of April 1978. The resurfacing of the runway is part of the normal maintenance programme to ensure that the airfield is in the best condition to meet its existing standby commitment. No other work of any significance is being carried out at present.
