§ The Prime MinisterFollowing my proposal on 14th February that there should be talks between the leaders of the three parties, to see whether a national approach to immigration and race relations could be evolved, the right hon. Lady the Leader of the Opposition issued a statement to the Press declining my invitation, at any rate for the present. I have had no further response from the right hon. Lady on this matter.

§ The Prime MinisterThe right hon. Gentleman the Leader of the Liberal Party has told me that he is willing to take part in such discussions; but the right hon. Lady the Leader of the Opposition has declined to do so, at any rate for the present.
