asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will publish a list showing weekly for the last 20 weeks, or appropriate period, the amount paid out in social security benefits to strikers' families, showing the number of families, to strikers themselves, whether any special arrangements were made for making these payments, and the total administrative cost to his Department in respect of the industrial dispute at the British Leyland Speke works.

Separate figures for supplementary benefit paid in respect of the dispute at British Leyland Speke works were not collected. These claims were dealt with in the same way as those from other claimants and the administrative cost cannot be identified separately.
