§ Mr. Robert SheldonIn the period from 1st April 1974 to 31st March 1978, Her Majesty's Government borrowed £474 billion of which 89 per cent. was repaid624W during the period. Much of the remainder represented the refinancing of debt incurred earlier which matured during the period. The latest maturing date of stocks issued in the period is 1999.
