§ Mr. HealeyMy Budget was designed to promote sustained growth, reduce unemployment and bring down inflation. The latest economic indicators show progress on all three fronts. The Finance Bill amendments carried by the Opposition threatened to put this strategy at risk; but the further measures which the Government took on 8th June have put us back on course.
