§ 35. Mr. Silvesterasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether the acceptance by the United Kingdom of the compulsory jurisdiction of the European Court on Human Rights will now continue indefinitely, or will need an act of renewal; and, if so, by what date.
§ Mr. JuddAcceptance by the United Kingdom of the compulsory jurisdiction of the European Court of Human Rights is not indefinite. Her Majesty's Government renewed the United Kingdom's acceptance on 14th January 1976 for five years, which thus runs until 13th January 1981.
