§ 56. Mr. Fordasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what progress is being made in discussions about greater transfer of resources from the more prosperous to the less prosperous parts of the European Community, on the scale needed to cope with the problems of enlargement.
§ Mr. JuddThe question of transfer of resources is being looked at in the context of discussion of the Commission's "fresco" on the overall implications of enlargement. The Government welcome the recognition in the "fresco" that the weaker regions of the existing Community must also obtain adequate assistance.
